BARE TO THE BONE

I’ll dismantle myself

This time I really need nobody else

I’ll peel off my skin

I’m glad there is no evidence

Stuck to my flesh

Ten thousand miles of tract to disconnect

Muscles are strained and torn

One more clash they’ll never last

What if you all are merely unbreakable

So I can’t be blamed - my fall was a slap to awake

Out from a state where I was only allowed to beseech but no more

Will I refuge or give in – BARE TO THE BONE

I’ll restructure my ribs

To clear some space here for the air I breathe

Inside this cage

A heart has bled but beating still

Approaching my being

From a more realistic point of view

Indeed the brain is but water

So it’s time to sink a dream or two
