ROB'S REVIEW: I don't know what's in the water in Hungary but it's making the fellas there's put out some trippy metal. This really isn't too bad but you have to be on some kind of mind altering substance to really appreciate it I think. Imagine Pink Floyd on metal and you got SOLAR SCREAM. Hey, at least it's different. The only thing is the songs get a little bit long winded at times. They kind of drag on to the point of wanted to slit your wrists but then cooler heads prevail. There's only six songs on this CD and the last one is a Depeche Mode cover called "In Your Room" which turns out to be my favorite track. A lot of metal bands lately have been covering this Depeche Mode. In Flames did it not too long ago. I might have to hunt some of the real thing down to see what all the excitement is about. As for this CD, the ideas are there and I can definitely see an Anathema influence to go along with the Pink Floyd thing so with a little more refinement it could really go somewhere. It's just missing the umph so to peak. I would be interested to see where they are on their next effort. www.solarscream.hu
